Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is now accepting online applications for the 2026 academic year. Prospective students, both from South Africa and abroad, are encouraged to apply early to secure their place.

Application Requirements
South African Applicants must provide:
- A copy of your Identity Document (ID)
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) or the most recent academic results
- Proof of application fee payment (R240)
International Applicants need:
- Passport and identification pages
- Latest academic transcripts
- South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate (for foreign qualifications)
- Proof of medical insurance
- Letter of recommendation
- Proof of registration at a previous institution (if applicable)
How to Apply Online at TUT for 2026
Follow these steps to complete your online application:
- Visit the TUT Website: Go to www.tut.ac.za.
- Navigate to the Application Section:
- Click on “Study at TUT” in the main menu.
- Then select “Application Form and Information”.
- Fill Out the Online Application Form:
- Complete all the required fields in the application form.
- Ensure you upload all the necessary documents.
- Pay the Application Fee:
- The application fee is R240.
- Make sure to upload a scanned copy of your payment receipt.
- Submit Your Application:
- After completing the form and uploading documents, submit your application online.
Manual and Fee
- Application Fees: The non-refundable application fee is R240 and must be paid into the designated TUT bank account.
(Details of the payment method are available on the TUT website.) - Manual Submissions: If you prefer, you can download the application form, complete it manually, and mail it to the TUT admissions office. However, faxed or emailed applications are not accepted.

TUT Entry Requirements for 2026
- Bachelor’s Degrees: At least four subjects at performance level 4.
- Diplomas: At least four subjects at performance level 3.
