CUT Online Application Forms 2024-2025- SA Applications
Central University of Technology’s online application for an undergraduate or postgraduate course for the academic year 2024-2025 is now open and will be open from Monday, 08 May to 30 September 2023. To apply online at CUT, please go to www.cut.ac.za and fill out the CUT online application form before the official deadline for the 2024 intake. This university is one of the best in Africa, and numerous applications are received each year. The university’s only campuses are in Bloemfontein and Welkom.
CUT APPLICATIONS FOR 2024: We welcome both new and returning students.
The Central University of Technology’s online application form will be open to all new and previous applicants on May 08, 2023. By September 30, 2023, all application forms must be received. All prospective students seeking undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at CUT, including those from outside South Africa (International students), must submit all application documents for 2024 by September 30, 2023.
How to Get the CUT application form
The form is also available at the:
- Bloemfontein campus: Lapeng Student Center, Ground floor (Administration Office)
- Welkom campus: Administration Block
Any student applying for admission to the CUT must request an application form from the Assistant Registrar: Academic Structure and Student Enrollment Services
- For international student assistance, contact the International Office.
- N qualification (TVET students)
- Students who are continuing with their studies without a gap year will be auto-promoted with no need to reapply.
- Students who took a gap year and would like to continue with their studies must complete a continuation form.

CUT Online Application Process for 2024-2025
To apply to the CUT online application form for 2024-2025. follow the steps below:
- visit www.cut.ac.za, click on Study at CUT then click Apply Online
- Click on New Applications
- Keep following the blue steps.
- New applicants, read carefully. *Compulsory fields. Must complete proceeding.
- You can download the Document containing the POPI ACT.
- Read it and Accept it to proceed.
- Enter the data exactly as it is in your SA ID or Passport – no exceptions.
- Enter your contact details
- Complete the information on the screen and click next.
- If you have completed Grade 12, your results are uploaded from the Dept of Basic Education – when you arrive at the screen.
- Otherwise, you are required to manually enter your results. Grade 12, Final Grade 11 or June Grade 11. Your most recent result.
- To manually add, click Add Subject and continue to add each subject.
- Tell CUT where you attended school or if you have studied at another institution.
- If your school/institution is not listed, type in Other.
- Do you have a qualification(s)? Tell CUT about it. Where, when, and what subjects have you completed?
- Add your first choice programme.
- Add your second choice programme, should the first option not be possible.
- Review the information carefully. Go back and correct any errors. It is important to do this now.
- Next, you will upload documents. Click Continue
- Documents must be uploaded for your application to proceed. Without documents, your application is incomplete.
- Read which document is required, then click Load/View Document.
- Click Upload Document.
- Click Browse and select the document from your device.
- Click Save once you have browsed to document.
- Review the upload.
- Yes indicates that you have uploaded successfully.
- You will need it to log in and follow up on the application.
CUT Required Documents for 2024-2025
Upload one certified copy of the following documents:
South African Applicant
- Current Matriculants: upload Final Grade 11 results or Grade 12 June results.
- Already Matriculated applicants: you will have to upload your certified ID and Senior Certificate.
- Higher Qualifications than Matric: you will have to upload your certified ID, Senior Certificate, your qualification(s) and study record.
- Postgraduate Applicants: Visit the Head of the Department / Assistant Deans, Research Innovation and Engagement to discuss a research project for Masters or Doctorate study before applying online. For more information, Postgraduate Studies.
International Applicant
- Certified copy of your SAQA/HESA evaluation certificate;
- Certified copies of your foreign school leaving/ college/ university qualifications;
- Certified copy of your passport
- South African-based medical aid
- A valid study visa
CUT Entry Requirements for 2024
Please download the current prospectus and study the requirements of your preferred course to ensure you meet both the faculty and the minimum entry requirements of that course before reapplying to the Central University of Technology.
The minimum average point (APS) to study at CUT is 27. Some programmes need more than the minimum. Between 24 and 26 you may be eligible for the selection test but if the programme is full of applicants who meet the minimum and above, you are not going to be given the opportunity. Try to have more than the minimum. It should not be your target number.
