Stellenbosch University’s (SU) online application for the 2026 academic year is open now. All prospective students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, must apply online through www.ul.ac.za, as paper-based applications are not accepted. Be sure to submit all necessary documents, including proof of application fee payment. Maties is only accepting online applications for the 2026 academic year. They will not accept applications submitted by hand delivery, fax, email, or mail.

To apply to Stellenbosch University (SU), you must complete the steps outlined below.
Step 1: Selection Criteria
- You must meet the minimum and faculty requirements of the selected course.
- Apply for up to three study programs on the same form.
- Submit only one application form for 2026.
- Submit a completed application form.
Step 2: Required Documents During Application
South African student
- Proof of payment for the R100 application fee, only if you pay offline
- A completed student support form (Disability Applicant)
- Final grade 11 assessment results as per the Department of Education guidelines.
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) or IEB/Statement of symbols of final school results
International Applicants
- Proof of permanent residency, refugee or asylum-seeking status
- Grade 11 results (pre-final) and final-year school subjects with levels
- Final school results from the International Curriculum (Cambridge International, International Baccalaureate, etc.), including School of Tomorrow.
- Additional subjects and rewrite the results.
Other supporting documents:
- Final school-leaving results
- Proof of registration
- Full academic transcript for each academic year completed, including grades.
- Relevant certificates and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades
- Diploma(s) and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades
- B degree certificate(s) and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades.
- Honours degree certificate(s) and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades.
- Master’s degree certificate(s) and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades (where applicable).

Step 3: Non-refundable Handling Fee
The application fee for the 2026 academic intake is as follows:.
- R100 for South African applicants
- R100 for international applicants

- You can make payment with your credit or debit card, and you will receive a receipt shortly after the university receives your payment
- Follow the on-screen instructions during the application process to pay your registration fee online.
