Important Dates for The University of the Western Cape (UWC) 2025 Applications

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is now accepting applications for the 2025 academic year! Here’s a breakdown of the key dates to remember:

General Application Period: Applications open on April 2, 2024, and close on September 30, 2024.
Early Application Deadline for Specific Programs: Applications for Bachelor of Dentistry and Oral Health programs, as well as postgraduate degrees offered by the School of Government, close on August 31, 2024.

Breakdown of UWC Application Deadlines for 2025

June 30, 2024: Apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
August 31, 2024: Apply for Bachelor of Dentistry, Oral Health, and School of Government postgraduate degrees.
July 31, 2024: Apply for BA Honours Sports Recreation and Exercise Science, BA Honours in Biokinetics, and BSC Honours Biokinetics.

If applicable, proof that you are currently improving your NSC results
Certified copy of your NSC certificate or Senior Certificate
In an affidavit, a brief description of activities post-matric/NSC

International Applicants

A certified copy of your native country’s identification document
A certified copy of your passport number from your home country
Study Visa in South Africa

English Proficiency For undergraduate programs, proof of IELTS with an overall score of 6 and TOEFL with an average score of 80–104 is required. For those whose high school courses were taught in a language other than English, this is applicable.

Important Information for International Students

Apply for exemption using the USAf application for exemption process, or, in the case of postgraduate programs, apply to have your international qualifications evaluated by SAQA.
