The University of Mpumalanga’s Management wants to remind all eligible and interested candidates interested in applying for admission to the university for the academic year 2025–2026 that the application window is officially open to everyone. Since this application window is only open for a short time, applicants are urged to apply as soon as they can to avoid missing out.

To ensure that your application is successful, we will assist you with the specifics of all the application procedures, deadlines, required documents, and other admission-related concerns for the 2025–2026 academic year.

University of Mpumalanga 2025 Official Application Opening Date:

The University of Mpumalanga will officially open applications for the 2025 intake on June 1, 2024. That is to say, the university’s application form will only be available to you starting on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Until then, gather all of your application materials, including your ID card, passport, academic transcript, and an application fee.

University of Mpumalanga 2025 Application Deadline

Applications for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in 2025 are being accepted as of June 1, 2024. However, the 2025 application season will close as follows:

Honours, Advanced Diplomas, and Postgraduate Diplomas: November 30th, 2024.
All undergraduate programmes: November 30, 2024
Masters programmes: January 30, 2025
Doctoral Programs: January 30, 2025

Make sure you have electronic copies of your documents to upload before you begin. Acceptable document types and formats are: pdf, doc, docx, tiff, PNG, jpg, and jpeg.

UMP Application Processes: How to Apply

The University of Mpumalanga has two forms of application. An applicant chooses which of those two is suitable for him or her. An applicant can apply electronically or manually for the 2024–2025 academic year. Any of these methods are sanctioned by the management of the university

Online Application: This is where an applicant applies via the admission portal set up by the university by following the steps outlined in this article. This is the fastest approach to applying for admission. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Manual Application: This process or method involves an applicant downloading the application form, filling it out with ink, and submitting it either by email or hand delivery to the admission office. This approach is usually slow in reaching management for review.

A prospective applicant must go through the following steps to apply online for the 2025 academic year:.

Step 1: Login Information

Log onto the official website and click on “Apply.”
Accept the application rules and click “Continue.”

Step 2: Personal Information

Capture your biographical information and click “next” to proceed with your application.

Step 3: Results and Subject Data

Capture results details, then add subjects and click “next.”

Step 4: Educational Background

Capture educational institution details and click “next.”

Step 5: Choose a Programme

Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices or programs you wish to apply for), click on “add the qualification,” and thereafter click “next.”

Step 6: Application Verification

Verify or check your application details, then click “continue.”

Step 7: Create a Strong Password

Create your 5-digit PIN (e.g 24689), click “I accept (twice) checkbox thereafter click “Submit Application

Step 8: Upload Required Documents

Upload your documents, select “yes” on the drop-down list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded, and then click “next.”
- Supporting documents are required.
  - certified copies of your identity document,
  - Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate and
  - All other relevant documents.

Step 9: Review the Application

Click “Load/View Document” >> “Upload document” >> “Choose/Browse file”: go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document, and click “Save.”

Step 10: Submit a fully Completed Application
