The University of Mpumalanga recommends all first-time applicants apply online using the university’s official portal. To apply, go to UMP’s website and click “Apply Now.

Accept the application rules and click “proceed.”
Enter your details and click “next.”
Enter academic scores, add subjects, then click “next.”
Select your school from the drop-down box and click “next.”
Choose two program options, click “add qualification,” and then “next.”
Verify application details and click “Continue.”
Create a 5-digit PIN, agree to terms, and click “Submit Application.”
To upload documents, select “yes” and click “next.”
Click “Load/View Document,” then “Upload Document,” choose files, and save.
To finish uploading all documents, click “Finish upload.”

Required Documents for UMP’s 2026 Online Application

To complete your online application at the University of Mpumalanga, you must upload the following documents:

South African applicants:

South African Identify number,
Cell phone number,
Active Email address,
National Senior Certificate (NSC) or your Grade 11 results if still in school.
Academic records if transferring from another institution.
Proof of payment

International Applicants:
