UKZN Application Dates Open For 2026, UKZN 2026 Application Dates | Apply for Undergraduate & Postgraduate Programs

The University of Kwazulu-Natal has announced the opening date of its application portal for the 2026 academic year. This is to notify all applicants, domestic or foreign, of the day on which they can access the 2026 application form. .

Undergraduate & Postgraduate Applications Now Open at UKZN (2026 intake)

The University of Kwazulu-Natal (UKZN) is now accepting applications for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the 2026 academic year. Starting April 1st, 2025, aspiring students can apply online or manually through the university’s official channels. Hurry and secure your spot at UKZN; applications are open now for 2026.

UKZN Application Deadlines for 2026 Admissions

Application Period:

• Undergraduate & Postgraduate Applications: Open from April 1, 2025.
• Medical Program Applicants: Deadline is June 30, 2025.
• All Other Courses: Applications close on September 30, 2025.

Late applications shall be considered for all available programs, except for Medicine

When to Pay Application Fee for 2026

Payments must be made to CAO, not directly to UKZN.

• Before October 31, 2025: R250
• After November 1, 2025: R470
• Administration fees are paid either:
  • At any EasyPay facility using an application number and EasyPay number on the form as reference OR
  • Via the Internet, applicants can print a deposit slip quoting the CAO number for bank deposits.

NOTE:

• Do not pay CAO administration fees to UKZN and do not enclose cash
• If the application fee is not received by the dates, the application will be denied or rejected.

For entry in Semester 2 (August 2026),

Prospective applicants must take note of the date below:

• 30 April 2025 (new applicants as well as returning UKZN students).
  
• Limited new applications may be allowed only to general programmes in Humanities and Management Studies where admission is considered.
  

International Applicants

For international applicants, the following information must be taken into consideration:

• On the UKZN Application for Admission to Undergraduate Programs (International) form, applicants for full-time undergraduate studies must apply directly to UKZN.
• UKZN charges a non-refundable application fee. On submission of their application, applicants must include proof of payment as well as all documentation requested.
• Applications and proof of payment must reach the university before or on the date of closing for 2023 admissions.

How Much Do International Applicants pay for Applications?

Prospective international applicants must be ready to pay these non-refundable applications and submit the proof during the application submission

• International SADC and rest of Africa R490
• Outside Africa: $153

N.B.: Late Application is not considered for Internal Applicants for 2026 admissions.
