UCT Application Status Check Portal 2026

The University of Cape Town (UCT) has released the list of successful applicants for the 2026 academic year. This includes both undergraduate and postgraduate students who have met the university’s academic and admission requirements. Applicants can now check their application status using the UCT student portal.

Please Remember that If your application is accepted, you will be notified via email and SMS. You should also keep an eye on the UCT self-service site, where your status will be updated immediately

What is a conditional offer and for how long is it valid?

A conditional offer is an offer of admission with conditions. This is communicated to you in the offer correspondence. You may be made a conditional offer of admission on the strength of interim examination results.

Final decisions will only be reached when you have submitted your final school-leaving (or, for transferring applicants, tertiary) results.

If you do not meet the subject or NBT requirements, your application will not be successful, and we will communicate that decision as soon as possible.

Does UCT offer Late Applications?

NO: The University of Cape Town does not consider a late application for 2026 admissions. Failure to submit the application form on time in your application will not be considered for the 2026 admission period. As a result, applicants are advised to apply at their earliest convenience.
