Tshwane University of Technology, known as TUT, is admitting undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2026 academic year. To guarantee admission for the upcoming academic year 2026, all applicants, both domestic and international, pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees must first meet the admission criteria for their preferred courses. To apply, please go to www.tut.ac.za as soon as possible for the next intake.

When To Apply At TUT For 2026

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT)’s official application period for the 2026 academic year runs from March 1 to September 30, 2025. Those who miss the application deadline must wait until the late application period, which is subject to course availability. As a result, to secure your admission place for the January 2026 intake, we strongly advise you to apply as soon as possible.

Limited space is available! Late applications for Tshwane University of Technology’s 2026 academic year will be considered after September 30, 2025, but subject to the availability of space in your desired program. Early applications are hereby encouraged (March 1 to September 30, 2025).

  • Get an online application form
  • Fill out the online application form with the information required. Asterisks (*) are indicated on the Required/Compulsory Field. Forfeiting any of those will render your application void.

STEP 3: Upload The Required Documents

  • Gather your documents or upload further or outstanding documents. These Documents must be in the format required by the university

STEP 4: Submit your Application

  • Submit your completed online application form and documents. Review to ensure the right thing is done before clicking on the SUBMIT Button

STEP 5: Pay the TUT Application Fee

Supporting Documents Required

These documents must be submitted to TUT before the deadline.

  • A fully completed application form
  • Recently certified (certification may not be not older than one year)
  • Copies of your original identity document and
  • National Senior Certificate and/or highest academic results
  • Proof of administration fee payment.

Eligibility Criteria for TUT Admission in 2025/2026

No one may register as a student in a TUT program unless the following requirements have been met:.

General admission requirements for TUT

  • At the Senior Certificate level, a pass mark in English is required (minimum additional language; certain programmes may require first or home language status)
  • Each course has its own specific admission requirements.

For NSC-G purposes, all students must take one of the two disciplines.
