Generally, tut requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • For Bachelor’s degrees:
    • A minimum Admission Point Score (APS) of 26 is required, with Mathematics.
    • If you have Mathematical Literacy instead of Mathematics, you’ll need a minimum APS of 28.
  • For National Diplomas:
    • A minimum APS of 1500 is required, with a sub-minimum of at least 460 for critical reading, mathematics, and writing.

To apply and submit your 2026 application to Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), follow these steps.

  • Visit www.tut.ac.za and select the STUDY@TUT option
  • Click on “Apply Now.”
  • Enter your student number.
