How To Apply Unisa Online 2026

What is the Unisa Application Date For 2026?

UNISA requires all application materials to be submitted online starting from August 11, 2025. The closing dates for applications are as follows:

• Undergraduate applications: August 11 to October 14, 2025
• Postgraduate applications: September 1 to November 14, 2025

Application Fee Requirements For 2026 at UNISA

The UNISA application fee for the 2026 academic year is a non-refundable R135.00, required only from first-time applicants. This fee covers administrative costs associated with processing applications and supporting the university’s admission services. Current UNISA students do not need to pay this fee.

Supporting Documents For UNISA 2026 Applications

Applicants must submit the following documents to Unisa during the application process

• Certified copy of ID or passport
• Certified copy of your highest qualification (eg matric certificate)
• A completed application form
• Proof of payment of the application fee
• Certified copies of any relevant certifications (eg N4-N6 qualifications)
• Certified copy of your SITE code (if applicable)

How to Register at UNISA

All prospective applicants are to follow the guidelines below to submit their application forms for 2026

• Register on the Unisa website with a valid email address and contact number.
• Log into the Unisa online study website to start the online application.
• Choose the study option you wish to apply for and select your preferred qualification.
• Provide your personal information and documents as requested.
• Choose your preferred study mode.

• Once all the information has been received, Unisa will review your application and notify you of the exact closing date for the course you choose.
• Fill in your payment details to pay the application fee.

UNISA Admission Requirements

When applying to UNISA for the 2026 academic year, you must meet the following requirements.

• A recognized NSC (NCV, FETC, N6/NQF5) or equivalent qualification
• A certificate or diploma from a recognized institution
• An NSC with an APS of 28 or higher plus successful completion of the NBTs
• A MUPSS or a certificate from a recognized institution
• Matriculants must have passed the matriculation Examination with an aggregate of at least 40% in four 20-credit subjects
• Pass the interview and/or aptitude test with a minimum score
• A minimum number of college/university credits
• Meet other minimum program requirements, such as having studied specific courses.
