The Durban University of Technology (DUT) 2026 online application window will officially open to the public on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. You are hereby encouraged to submit your application and all other supporting materials by the deadline so you can study in 2026. The application deadline for all undergraduate study programs is November 30, 2025, except for a few programs that close earlier than November 30. Before selecting a course, all potential candidates must check that they satisfy the entry requirements for that specific course.

National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with at least a 3 in English and a 4 in four NSC 20-credit subjects chosen from the NSC designated subject list.

The online application portal will be open from Tuesday, April 1, 2025, to Sunday, November 30, 2024. Be sure to gather all required documents and visit www.dut.ac.za to begin your application. You can either fill out the online form directly or download it for manual completion

Applying for a study course at DUT for 2026

Students who wish to apply for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs should do so separately for the academic year 2026 and provide the necessary documentation for each. Applicants will, however, only pay one application fee for both qualifications.

Application Fee

South African applicants to Durban University of Technology (DUT) are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of R250.00, while international applicants must pay an R300 non-refundable fee. How to manually apply for DUT for 2026 academic intake

Download the application form from www.cao.ac.za and submit it. Fill out the form completely, answering all questions in black ink (pen). Minimum requirements for admission at the Durban University of Technology.
