Every year, the majority of intelligent but underprivileged kids who apply to universities fail because of financial restrictions. Since their means of support are either nonexistent or insufficient to fund their living expenditures, including tuition, books, and other costs associated with attending college or university, some people lack the drive to pursue their education beyond high school. To assist these students in achieving their academic potential, the South African government funds the National Student Financial Aid Scheme. By paying for their tertiary expenses, they hope to assist all undergraduate applicants who wish to continue their education in tertiary institutions.

Nsfas Online Application Dates for 2023 Applicants: The online application portal for National Student Financial Aid Scheme is enabled from NOVEMBER 2022 and closes on January 7, 2023. Applicants are expected to meet this deadline by submitting all the necessary documentation for review. Any application after this date may not be eligible for financial support for the 2023 academic year.

NSFAS Financial Coverage: Applicants who passed through the review stage and qualify for funding have some expenditures captured by the scheme. Some expenditures to be covered by the schemes are listed here
