All local and international applicants who wish to study at North-West University for 2026 can now apply! The official application page and form are open to everyone, regardless of background. Indeed! North-West University (NWU) began accepting online admission applications for 2026 on April 1, 2025. Remember, however, that closing dates vary according to the program you choose.

Music: August 31, 2024 (don’t forget to apply for an audition too!)
Graphic Design: August 31, 2025
Engineering: August 31, 2025

All other selection courses: June 30, 2025

Application Materials Required

Here’s a comprehensive list of the documents you’ll need as an international and local applicant for the 2026 intake when applying online:

Undergraduate Applicants

Results from grades 12 and 11 (final results only) Alternatively, if you have previously passed matric, a copy of your matric certificate.
A photocopy of your ID
A copy of your transcripts (if applicable).
Applicants who are currently enhancing their grade 12 results will be evaluated only after the NWU receives the improved results.
Applicants who pursue the Cambridge, GED, or any other non-NSC curriculum, or who may be eligible for an exemption due to older age or post-school qualifications, must present a USAF exemption certificate.
