Mangosuthu University of Technology Late Application Deadlines for 2025

Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) accepts late applications for 2025 admissions only if space is available in the program you’re interested in. Please note the following deadlines:

Faculty of Engineering:
- First semester: September 30, 2024
- Second semester: May 31, 2024
Faculty of Natural Sciences: September 30, 2024
Analytical Chemistry: May 31, 2024 (second semester only)
Faculty of Management Sciences: September 30, 2024

Remember, submitting your application after these dates may result in it not being considered due to limited space

Applying to Mangosuthu University of Technology is easy with the CAO

Fill out one application and pay one fee to apply to multiple programs at different colleges, with Mangosuthu University of Technology as your first choice of institution. Just remember your unique CAO number when paying. Here’s what you need to do:

Get your CAO number: This is your key to applying!
Fill out the application. Choose the programs you’re interested in.
Pay the application fee. Don’t forget to include your CAO number!

That’s it! The CAO will handle the rest, sending your application to your chosen colleges.

MUT Late Online Application Process through CAO

To be considered for admission in 2025, an applicant must complete these steps.

STEP 1: Get Access to the Internet

Go to the website: www.cao.ac.za and click on ‘Apply’
Read the information and click on ‘Continue with Application

STEP 2: Log in to Commence

Click ‘Submit’ after entering your ID number.
‘Continue with Application’ is located at the bottom of the page.

STEP 3: Provide Your Personal Details

Begin entering all of the needed information. Click ‘Next’ once you’ve completed all of the required fields.
Select ‘Continue with Online Application’ from the drop-down menu.
Your CAO number, password, and EasyPay number will show up in a pop-up window. Read the directions carefully.
‘Continue with Online Application’ should be selected.
Then click ‘Next’ after following the instructions and providing all of the needed information.

STEP 4: Next of KIN Details

Complete the ‘Next of Kin’ details and click ‘Next’.

STEP 5 : Educational Information

Insert the school name and click on ‘Search’. The school name will appear in a box, and you must enter the year you attended that school and the year you finished attending that school.
Click ‘Next’ to proceed to the next step.

STEP 6: Submit the Online Application

When you reach ‘Process My Application’, click on the button. YOUR APPLICATION HAS NOW BEEN SUBMITTED
The message on your screen will display that your submission has been successful.

STEP 7: Pay the application fee and Upload Documents

You can now pay online and/or upload your supporting documents.
Pay via EasyPay.

South African Candidates

National Senior Certificate or Statement of Results
Senior Certificate
Identity Document
Students transferring from other universities should submit an original academic record and a certificate of good conduct

International Candidates

A valid study permit
A valid medical aid or health insurance cover
A valid passport
GCE, GCSE, IGCSE or Cambridge School Certificate
Students holding a GCE GCSE IGCSE or the Cambridge School Certificate must have passed five approved ordinary-level subjects, including English language, provided three subjects have been passed at the same examination sitting.
