Walter Sisulu University is now accepting applications for the 2026 academic year. The online application portal is open for South African applicants and transfer students. To apply, you must complete the application form and submit all required documents by October 31, 2025. Applications for all students are open from June 1 to October 31, 2025. International students, including those applying to the Faculty of Health Sciences, must submit their applications by September 30, 2025.

NSFAS financial aid applications for the 2026 academic year are open to South African students enrolled in or planning to enroll in approved courses.

During the application process, you must have the following documents ready to upload via the online application portal for 2026:

FRESH APPLICANTS

The certificate “Old Senior”
The N6 credential is a combination of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) and the National Certificate Vocational (NCV).
Grade 11 final results, as well as first quarter or mid-year results, if available, must be uploaded by current grade 12 students.
Candidates for post-matric must provide
- A matric or equivalent certificate
- An academic record
- Copy of ID or passport.
