Is Vaal University Open For 2025/2026 Intake Application?

The Vaal University of Technology (VUT) has opened its online undergraduate and postgraduate applications for the 2025–2026 academic year. The application period runs from May 6, 2024, to September 30, 2024. Both South Africans and non-South Africans can apply. Applicants should visit www.vut.ac.za to access the online application form or download it for manual completion. The official opening date for applications is May 6, 2024. Prospective students must apply through the online portal and can select two study options.

Vaal University of Technology Online Application Dates for 2025-2026

Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year open on May 6, 2024, for all programs, and all undergraduate programs at VUT will close on Monday, September 30, 2024, except for the following courses, which will close by 31 August 2024;

Bachelor of Education in senior phase and FET Teaching
Diploma in Safety Management
Diploma in Labour Law
Policing
Diploma in Information Technology

Please Note

If you have not submitted all of the required application documentation listed in this post, your application will be rejected. Please keep in mind that if you do not submit the required documentation within two months, your application will be rejected.

The University receives more applications than it can handle, and meeting admissions requirements does not guarantee acceptance. If you are rejected at Vaal University of Technology, you can reapply for the 2025–2026 academic year after considering the requirements of your preferred programme.

VUT Application Fee for 2025-2026

For the academic year 2025-2026 at Vaal University of Technology (VUT), all applications must include an application fee. Failure to pay this fee will result in your application not being reviewed. The fees for this period are R110 for South African nationals and R120 for international applicants. When making payments, South African applicants should reference their identity or student number, while international applicants should use their student ID number or passport number instead of their last name.

How to Apply for Vaal University of Technology (VUT) Online Application 2025/2026

To apply online at Vaal University of Technology (VUT) for 2025-2026, follow the procedure below:

Visit the application page at www.vut.ac.za to apply.
Click the apply tab.
Entering your bio-data, including a working email address, into the field provided will generate a unique number. ( Student number and PIN)
The student number and the PIN will be sent to the email address you provided.
When you return to the application portal, use this student number to log in.
Provide your academic background
Choose your course of study for 2025
To proceed, click the Save and Continue button.
All supporting documents must be uploaded. You will be unable to proceed if you leave a document behind.
Once you’ve received the number, proceed to pay the application fee
After making your payment, applicants should complete their process by reviewing to ensure all required fields are filled out.
When you’re certain, click the submission tab to send your fully completed application form.
You will be notified once it has been successfully submitted.
