How to Create a myNSFAS Account-New Process for 2024/2025

The first step in applying for the National Students Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) online is to set up a portal called myNSFAS accounts. It’s a shame nothing could be done outside of this account. You literally cannot do anything with your Nsfas, so you must learn the process of creating this vital account. If you have no idea how to set up this account, we will assist you anyway.

Device for creating a myNSFAS Account

As important as the myNSFAS account is, it is necessary to have a specific device ready before creating this account. Unlike a bank account, there is no need to visit the scheme’s office. All you need is a smart device such as a phone, laptop, or computer to create this account because the entire process is done online. You must be connected to a reliable internet connection and have a personal email address. This account cannot be created without a cell phone number.

How to Create a myNSFAS Account for 2024/2025

To create a myNSFAS account for your online application process, follow the steps below.

  • Navigate to www.nsfas.org.za and click on the myNSFAS tab.
  • Click Register. Select the Accept option to allow NSFAS to verify and validate the information you provided.
  • Enter your ID number exactly as it appears on your identification document.
  • Enter your given name and surname exactly as they appear on your ID.
  • Fill in your email and phone number. Your username will be your email address.
  • Create and confirm a password for yourself.
  • Include a copy of your identification.
  • Click Register.
  • After you click register, an OTP will be sent to the email address and cellphone number you provided.
  • Check your cell phone and email for the OTP.
  • Enter the OTP in the provided tab and press the submit button.

How to Find Out If Your myNSFAS Account Has Been Created

After you enter your OTP, you will receive another SMS and email confirming that your myNSFAS account was successfully created. You may now proceed with your application and submit the necessary documents.

The Scheme is available to assist through the following channels:

  • Email: info@nsfas.org.za
  • Facebook: National Student Financial Aid Scheme
  • Twitter: @myNSFAS
  • Instagram: @myNSFAS
