Are DUT Applications Open For 2025-2026 Online & Forms

Exciting news for aspiring students! Applications for undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Durban University of Technology for the academic year 2025-2026 are now officially open. The online application portal is live from Monday, April 1, 2024, until Monday, September 30, 2024. So, gather your documents and head over to www.dut.ac.za to get started. You can conveniently fill out the online application form or download it for manual completion.

Prospective students for Durban University of Technology’s 2025-2026 academic year, starting April 1, 2024, can choose an online application via the portal for their two preferred programs. Since April 1, 2024, a manual application form has been available on the official website (www.dut.ac.za) for those who prefer it.

Applying for a study course at DUT for 2025-2026

Students who wish to apply for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs should do so separately for the academic year 2025-2026 and provide the necessary documentation for each. Applicants will, however, only pay one application fee for both qualifications.

Avoid Rejection:

Complete documentation is crucial. Missing the required documents will automatically disqualify your application. Ensure you submit everything within two months of starting your application.

Competitive Admissions:

Remember, DUT receives more applications than available places. Meeting the eligibility requirements doesn’t guarantee acceptance.

Second Chance:

If you’re not accepted this year, don’t get discouraged! You can reapply for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Application Fee

South African applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of R250.00. On the other hand, all international applicants must pay an R300 non-refundable application fee. Please use your student ID number as a reference when making a payment. You are encouraged to apply before the deadlines because applications received after the deadlines will not be accepted. DUT applications are only accepted between April 1 and November 30, 2024.

The Durban University of Technology Application Requirements For 2025

Below are the documents to be attached for undergraduate and postgraduate Applicants

Transcripts for grades 11 and 12, final certificates for grades 11 and 12 (June/Trial report if you haven’t taken your final test), and your identity document must all be uploaded in certified copies
Proof of payment of the compulsory and non-refundable application fee

Postgraduate

Matric exemption certificate (including subject marks)
ID document passport, work permit or Study permit
Diploma/Degree certificate/s
Comprehensive academic record (indicating marks obtained for subjects)
Certificate of registration with the relevant professional council (if applicable)
Letter of appointment as a registrar with a date of assumption of duty: applicants for M Med and M Dent students NB: letter from the employer, e.g. Hospital HR.
Motivational letter and CV (for Health applicants only)
Medical aid (Non-South Africans)
Students with non-South African qualifications must attach a SAQA evaluation certificate with their previous degrees obtained

How to manually apply for DUT for 2025 academic intake

Download the application form from www.cao.ac.za and submit it. Fill out the form completely, answering all questions in black ink (pen). Check that the names on your identity document (ID) and certificates are the same and in the same order, and include the aforementioned documents before submitting them to the Central Application Office.

How to Apply for DUT Online Application 2025

A prospective student interested in studying at DUT should apply through the CAO, which can be found at www.cao.ac.za.)
Please complete the CAO application form online and attach or upload certified copies of your identity document as well as your final Grade 11 and Grade 12 certificates (June/Trial Report if you have not yet written your final exams).
For Higher Certificate, Diploma, and Degree programs, the application form must be received by the CAO office before the deadline of September 30, 2023. Please refer to individual programs for detailed ending dates, as some programs end sooner than September 30, 2023.
